We made Jega to shift Election: Dr Fasheun
Leader of Oodua People's Congress (OPC), Dr. Fredrick Fasheun has exposed himself as one of those behind the plot to shift the 2015 presidential poll date from February 14 to March 28th, claiming that had the election held on February 14th "rigging had been perfected for General Muhammadu Buhari".
Nigeria's Federal Government and ruling People's Democratic Party (PDP) had offered the excuse that the Nigerian troops were to carry out a special operations against insurgents in the Northeast apparently to buy some time for the PDP to work out a winning formula for President Goodluck Jonathan to win the election at all cost.
Speaking during a Post National Conference gathering sponsored by Ondo State Gov. Olusegun Mimiko, Dr. Fasheun bragged that when it became clear that President Jonathan was going to lose the election he called a few influential people and urged them to shift the election date, he said that fortunately they listened to him and the election date was shifted. The revelation by Dr. Fasheun shows that President Jonathan had used the Boko Haram fight as an alibi to further his political ambition.

Employment Termination: chances of the employee at the court of law
HR Talk
with
Moruf Kolawole Nasir
One of the
most recent readers who sought my advice, was a Banker and was contemplating
taking it up with her employer for terminating her employments
“illegally”.
With the
recurrence of this issue of “illegal” termination of employment and the mindset
of employees, I decided to present the case below from the Appeal court to
enlighten us more on the position of the law on some of the confusing issues
surrounding disengagement.
I must
quick to say I copied the case from one of my professional networks on the
social media, and the credit should go to Celestina Okere, who brought the case
to the platform for discussion.
Why I refused to debate with Jonathan: Buhari
The Presidential candidate of All Progressives Congress, Muhammadu has said, if he wins the March 28 poll, he will ensure strict adherence to the constitution, saying he is now “a converted democrat”.
Mr. Buhari made the pledge while addressing a media parley in Abuja today.
“I want to assure you that Nigerian constitution will be adhered to,” he said.
He reminded the audience of the controversial Decree 4 promulgated in 1984 while he was military Head of State.
He said there will be no such controversy should he win the presidential election.
“I cannot change the past but I can change the present and future. Dictatorship goes with military which made possible decree four.
“I am a former military leader. Note the emphasis on former. But I am now a converted democrat.
“I give full assurances to Nigeria media will be free under an APC government,” he said.
Asked if he was prepared to apologise for jailing journalists as military ruler, the Director General of Mr. Buhari’s campaign and Governor of River State, Rotimi Amaechi, prevented the former general from responding, saying “the general has said he could not change the past”.
Mr. Buhari said he was not ready to participate in the presidential debate with President Goodluck Jonathan, standing for re-election as the candidate of Peoples Democratic Party.
He argued that there is no basis for debate since the record of the PDP and Mr. Jonathan in government is public knowledge.
Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar attended the media event.
