Anger made us signed jonathan's impeachment: Rep

The Chairman, House Committee on Communications, Oyetunde Ojo, has allayed fears over possible impeachment of President Goodluck Jonathan by the National Assembly.
Speaking with journalists in Aramoko-Ekiti on Sunday, he said members of the House of Representatives, who recently signed the president’s impeachment notice, did so in anger.
Oyetunde, who has emerged a consensus candidate for the Ekiti Central 11 Federal Constituency for the All Progressives Congress, said, “To be honest with you, although we were recalled to the House that day because of the emergency situation in the North-East, we have only sat once since the recess. The impeachment notice was signed in anger by us.
“You remember that we were tear-gassed that day, the issue has gone beyond the House only. It now concerns us about the survival of our democracy.
“To the best of my knowledge, I do not think there is a serious level of impeachment of the president now, until we resume at the House and hold next session.”
Ojo expressed gratitude to the APC members in Ekiti West, Ijero and Efon Local Government Areas, for choosing him as their sole candidate, saying their decision was in recognition of his landmark achievement during the first four years.
