A Supreme court sitting in Abuja has dismiss the petition against the Governor of Ekiti state, Governor Ayodele Fayose. The court upheld his victory and said the election that brought him in as the Governor of the state is legal, therefore Governor Fayose remains the Governor of the state.
In dismissing the case that was brought to the court by the All Progressive Party of Ekiti state chapter, the Supreme Court, in a judgement this morning said the Justice Aladejana panel, which led to Fayose's impeachment in 2006 was illegal.
