NEW TROJAN THAT STEALS PASSWORDS

There is a new deadly Trojan which steals classified data and passwords of users online when they try to log in their account details. The Cyber-Seurity sleuths have alerted online banking customers to beware of this malicious Trojan. This new banking Trojan dubbed known as 'Dyreza' are malware that targets mainly online banking users. It carries out it activity by using social engineering techniques or by using spam messages pretending to be genuine mail received from financial institution containing zip or pdf as an attachment. The zip contains a self executinh malware which will install itself immediately its been  extracted.
It is said that this malware is capable of wreaking havoc into a secure system. It is therefore suggested by the CERT-In that online banking customers should configure their email server to block or remove email that contains file attachments that are commonly used to spread threats such as vbs, bat, exe, pif etc, set internet and local intranet security zone settings to high, lock out accounts after number of incorrect login attempts.

JONATHAN TO UNVEIL COMMEMORATIVE N100 NOTE

As part of the CBN contribution to the centenary celebration, it has designed a commemorative N100 bank note which is also in line with its mandate of issuing legal tender in Nigeria. President Goodluck Jonathan is to unveil the specially designed bank note on Wednesday, 5th of November.
The N100 note was chosen to mark the centenary celebration in Nigeria and is consistence with global practices for Central Banks around the world during the celebration of national events.
The commemorative note features the theme of the centenary celebration, that is "One Nigeria, Great Promises" while it still has the portrait of Chief Obafemi Awolowo on the front. It also features Nigerian traditional dancers at the back. The new note is expected to come in different dominant colours.

EL RUFAI MADE ME CHANGE MY MIND ABOUT 2015: BUHARI

In 2011, Gen Mohammodu Buhari said that 2011 election would be his last presidential attempt. It was surprising to hear him declared that he wants to run for Presidency in the coming election. General Mohammadu Buhari, yesterday, said that his decision to run in the 2015 elections was influenced by Malam Nasir El-Rufai, who encouraged him to run again.


Buhari said “I developed cold feet to come and present El-Rufai to you because of the sacrifices which he wanted to make on my behalf which I turned down. He said he would work for me full-time if only I would contest but I told him that if I must contest he must also come out to contest because I believe he has the qualities required to make Kaduna State great again. These qualities are firstly competence, integrity and courage.
